About Trudy Gould Ceramics

Trudy is based in the Northern Rivers of NSW and works between her home studio and Northern Rivers TAFE where she is studying for a Diploma of Ceramics.

Trudy seeks to present the clay in each piece she makes rather than hide it away in a perfectly smoothed vessel. Trudy incorporates glaze as a functional element of her pieces, using it to enhance the organic nature of clay and highlight the qualities of the bodies she works with.

Trudy creates functional objects which for everyday use for big and little hands. Focused on her love of hand built ceramics, she draws on her experience as Architect where she created many works of public Architecture and Interiors with a focus on detail and materiality

Trudy also designs pieces for large and small hands. Her Tiny House series creates the basis for little hands to create villages, cities, fairy gardens....
